Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa is about three hours drive from Sydney city centre, it is a beautiful road with amazing scenery along the road, and you pass many great towns like Katoomba and Leura, which they both have great nature features and small town antique shops.

Emirates have bought an entire Valley for the resort, it is secluded peaceful and just magical, the rooms are all set as country stile villa’s, each with a private swimming pool. The minute you arrive at your villa you’ll see that they have provided bicycles at you front door, with a direction map for rides around the Vally. You have the choice of joining a guided tour or just going on your own.The villa’s are very luxurious, the interior has been furnished with great attention to details, with a fire place and aborigine art work. The terrace is great with views of the Vally and the mountains.

The great part, the rate is a bit high but really so worth it, all meals are included and provided at a 5 star restaurant  quality, they would cater to your every need even if it’s not on the menu, I asked for chai haleeb with cardamon and cinnamon and they made it for me ((:The snacks and mini bar in your villa is all complimentary.

The rate also include the daily activities program and tours. So at check out you leave with a smile without paying anything other than what you payed for the booking. The only thing not included is the spa treatment, although I’m a huge fan of spa’s I didn’t go into this one, I didn’t want to waste any minute. The activities are great, they have day and night safaris, horse riding tours, bike tours, archery, and walking tours. After leaving the resort, on the way back to Sydney we stopped at Katoomba to see the famous three sisters, there is a senery tram that takes you down the mountain which is great.after Katoomba we headed to the near by Leura village, on the way there is a wonderful walk down waterfall, we follow the path of the waterfall down the hill (very safe) and there is a picnic area. from there Leura is just 5 minutes, we shopping in the small town antique shops, and had lunch at Leura garage (a garage converted into a restaurant).after leaving Leura, its only an hour an a half back to Sydney. I hope this is helpful for people who plan to visit Sydney, usually they would just stay in the city centre, this experience is really great and not to be missed when ever in Sydney.

There are some hotels in the city that could arrange for a helicopter transfer to Emirates Resort, I believe it would be great though would miss the opportunity of stopping at the towns in the Blue mountains. Flight wise, there is a great air line called Air Aisa, that has direct flights from Malaysia, its a budget airline but has flat bed in the business class that are offered at a very cheap rate, this makes the journey to australia comfortable and affordable. U676ntitled
