“It’s a Small World,” marking it’s 50 years since the classic attraction with the unforgettable earworm of a song opened at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York. The 50th anniversary celebration of Disney’s iconic ride is fast approaching on April 22 !

احلى رايد و ما تكتمل الروحه لدزني لاند الا في هاللعبه او الرايد …. ” اتس أ سموول وورلد ” من اشهر الرايدز بديزني و دايما  تشوفون اسمها في كتيب الخريطه و الارشادات مال دزني .. الي يعطونكم اياه اول ما اتدشون و حاطين انها من الرايدز الي الواحد لازم يركبها … المهم الي صاير انه الشهر الياي دزني راح تحتفل بمرور 50 سنه على انشاء هاللعبه الي يحبونها مو بس الصغار حتى الكبار ! اتينن و الكل حافظ الاغنيه الي يشغلونها فيها و الكل يحب يرددها … فكره انشاء هاللعبه او الرايد  بدت من سنه 1964 و تم انشاءها كتحيه و تقدير لليونيسيف و جميع اطفال العالم

“It’s a Small World” ride became a centerpiece of Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., in 1966, and the famous song still plays in a continuous loop at “small world” rides in Disney parks. Since I was little I fell in love with this ride and song ! for me I can’t imagine A Disney Land without it 🙂 Walt Disney wanted the music and lyrics  to be catchy and easy for kids to sing, but some adults find the tune lodging in the brain for hours after emerging from the 12-minute boat ride ! For me I always sing along during the ride 🙂

Celeberating it’s anniversary, Disney have launched a new website, SmallWorld50.com, that invites the public to submit videos of themselves singing the song and also fans from all over the world can create virtual dolls on the site, mixing and matching faces, clothes and other elements to build a unique avatar-like figure ;D
