The hidden Beauty of that city ! before I went to Sarajevo I’ve been reading about that place and Bosnia in general .The more I travel The more I realize how important to read about the destination you’re heading to ! don’t worry there will be a lot of new discoveries nothing can describe reality like seeing it for yourself..not words or even photos …Reading about a destination will help build that image about the destination ..image with lots of questions that you might find answers to once you’re there … no experience will describe how to live among another culture ..the place, the people, the tradition , the weather and the lifestyle . One thing I really enjoy is buying a guide book from the destination itself … then take my free time to read and look into the map ! when you travel you need to clear your mind ..make it ready for a new thing and a new destination ! 
What do you need to know about That destination ? as I noticed and as one of my followers on twitter confirmed that the people of Bosnia are well known for : their love to smoke 😉 love to eat meat ! love to drink coffee specially the Bosnian Coffee which I got addicted to ! The weather in December well you know winter ..actually a freezing snowy one but I loved it ! 
The people are welcoming, and friendly if you get to know them and make a conversation with them . also I have noticed that they are very very helpful when you need help ! people and cultures differ from place to place , travelers are not there to judge but I see that we are there to fit in .. to learn from their life style and enjoy it while we are around them .
I will take you in a short photo tour of the city ..that I did either by walking around Sarajevo or just by car 🙂 but first checkout these information on what you need to know about Bosnia ( if you’re planning to visit Bosnia you really need to read it) :
- Bosnia is well known for the mountainous , if you love nature you will love Bosnia !
- There is three main ethic groups in Bosnia which are Bosniaks (Bosnian Muslims), Croats and Serbs.
- Its a country situated on the Balkan peninsula of Southern Europe. Bosnia and Herzegovina stands bordered by Croatia in the north, west and south, Serbia in the east and Montenegro also in the south.
- Has moderate continental climate, characterized by hot summers and cold, snowy winters.Freezing winters 😛 we are talking about – something 😛 bs I liked it !
- The official languages are Bosnian, Serbian and Croatian. Yet you can find many people who speak good English and little who speak Arabic too !
- The currency is Marka but you can use Euros as well. ATM machines can be found everywhere . but you need the cash fo the old market and small boutiques.
- Bosnia was conquered by the Ottoman Empire in the second half of the 15th century .. you will see that in my visit to Mostar in upcoming post 😉
- Bosnia gained independence from Yugoslavia in the year 1992. Inter-ethnic war erupted after independence, in 1992, and lasted till 1995. The war remains can be seen although the war was over years ago but still you can see the ruins … we suffer from wars ..well learn from wars ..don’t we ?
- Prices in general are so cheap ! yes they are specially the food and its delicious !!
- Bosnia is really beautiful , beauty is everywhere and yes I have to admit people are beautiful ! from all the countries I’ve been to ..Bosnia has the most beautiful people in the world 😀
- One big worldwide event was held in Sarajevo, the largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, hosted the 1984 Winter Olympic Games . wait for the post on the Olympics City 😉 many of you are waiting for this post I know I know 😉

you see those houses up in the Hills ? well Sarajevo is almost surrounded by mountains ! its normal to walk in the streets an see that view !! right there standing in the city to fall in love with those houses ! Abi wa7ed Li !
war can be seen…can be felt although its over …. the life is back the ramins are there I guess it reminds us of the causes …. life goes on no matter what ..wishing Bosnia all the best !
Unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to go on Sarajevo Tram ! they have one Line of Tram that gets you to all places in the city ..one main street that connects Sarajevo the beautifuly srrounded by mountains ..so if you go on that tram there are no chance that you will get Lost ! kha6 wa7ed tshofoona min awal el madina li a’akherha ! next time I’m there Im going to explore the city by Tram inshallah 😀
After spending one week in Bosnia ..I can say that its worth a visit depending on the season ofcourse ..you should choose when to visit the place ..I fell in love with that destination while it snows while its freezing 😉 I consider it a getaway to a small city and places to visit in the mountains .. to breath some fresh air ! you don’t see many travelers or tourists ! and that’s what I loved the most !
The Land …The people …the culture and ofcourse the weather el mooot elbarrrd ….all of these made me fall in Love with that Beautiful Country ..I call it the coutry with the Hidden Beauty ..you need to know about that destination …then you have to visit it !
