تركيا تدشن مشروع “مرمراي” أول نفق للسكك الحديدية تحت البوسفور الي يربط بين الضفتين الأوروبية والآسيوية لاسطنبول بتاريخ ٢٩/١٠ الموافق الذكرى ال٩٠ لتأسيس الجمهورية التركية. يبلغ طول النفق 14 كم، من بينها 1.4 كلم تحت الماء، و راح ينقل القطار من خلال النفق اول الركاب من آسيا الى اوروبا …. اقل مدة للعبور بين القارتين نصف ساعة تقريبا ولكن مع مشروع “مرمراي” اصبح ٣ دقائق فقط!!وينقل المشروع نحو ٧٥ ألف مسافر في الساعة ومليون و٢٠٠ ألف مسافر على مدار اليوم وتبلغ سعر التذكره ١,٩٥ ليرة تركية (دولار امريكي)
The European and Asian sides of Istanbul are to be connected for the first time. With a railway tunnel constructed under the Bosphorus, officially opened on Oct. 29, the 90th anniversary of the foundation of the Turkish Republic. This project called “Marmaray” which is a rail transport project in Istanbul. It consists of the construction of an undersea rail tunnel under the Bosphorus strait as well as the modernization of suburban rail lines along the Sea of Marmara from “Halkalı”on the European side to “Gebze”on the Asian side. The normal way to get to the europian side is about 30 mints. But after “marmaray” project it will be 3 mints.
