A trip I never thought I would take one day !! I have just returned back home from one of the most exciting trips in my life ! A trip beyond expectations in the land of a thousand hills “Rwanda ” ! I have promised you all my lovely blog readers and followers in instagram and snap chat that I will be reviewing all the amazing details of my trip to Rwanda in January, 2016 which was organized by the amazing Uber Luxe Safaris. . But before starting all the blog posts I would love to share my special Travel guide to Rwanda ! It’s the guide you will need to plan your next adventure in Rwanda 😉
لرحله عجييبه غلاييبه .. ما كانت ابد على البالل ! توني من اسبوع رديت من احلى الرحلات في حياتي و اجمل المغامرات مع احلى مجموعه و قروب .. رحله فاقت التوقعات وبصراحه اخجلتنا لانه الي في بالنا كان جدا اقل من المتوقع و الي عشناه و شفناه .. اول درس تعلمته من الرحله انه في بعض الاحيان لازم الانسان بنفسه يوصل لمكان و يوشفه بعينه و ما يحكم عليه من كلام الناس … رحله جميله في بلاد الأف تله مثل ما يطلقون عليها …. رواندا الجميله … مثل ما وعدت الجميع من قراء المدونه الدائمين و المتابعين في سناب جات و انستغرام راح ابدي في سرد تفاصيل الرحله المشوقه في تقاريري في مدونتي .. رحله رواندا في يناير 2016 مع شركه اوبر لكس سفاري المتخصصه في ترتيب الرحلات بأكثر من دوله في شرق افريقيا و بالذات في رواندا .. بس قبل لا أبدي في تفاصيل مغامراتنا و أنشطتنا في هالديره .. احب اقدم لكم دليل بسيط من إعدادي بالتعاون مع شركه السفاري .. هالدليل راح ينفعكم اذا بتزورون رواندا لأول مره
Here is a little about remarkable Rwanda…..
Hugged on all sides by other African nations, this small and extremely scenic and mountainous little country sits alongside the lakes and hills of the East African Rift. Despite its comparatively diminutive size, Rwanda is bursting with things to do. Soon, you’ll find yourself climbing the slopes of volcanoes, tracking gorilla families through the rainforest, walking the canopy bridge which is set 50 meters above the ground and along the way you will enjoy the breathtaking landscapes ….
In Rwanda, You will live a different experience in Africa which is focused on forest rather than savannas, Although, The main reasons to come here is to the mountain gorillas to the north of the country. There is also a good deal of very Pretty Mountain and lake scenery, plus the opportunity to see chimpanzees in the south.
Rwanda – officially the “ Republic of Rwanda” is a country in central and east Africa It’s bordered by Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Rwanda is in the African Great Lakes region and is highly elevated; its geography dominated by mountains in the west and savanna to the east, with numerous lakes throughout the country.

دوله صغيره و لكنها جميله .. موقعها في شرق افريقيا .. معروفه في تلالها و بحيراتها و جبالها و طبيعتها الخلابه .. رغم انه ديره صغيره لكن تتعدد الانشطه و المغامرات فيها … المكان المناسب لعشاق التركنق و الاستكشافات بالغابات .. و زياره عوايل الغوريلا في جبال البراكين و المشي على جسر معلق فوق غابات استوائيه على ارتفاع 50 متر .. و طبعا كل هذا و المناظر الخلابه تنادي السواح الى رواندا .. في رواندا عشت تجربه مختلفه في شرق افريقيا .. كنت متعوده على المساحات المفتوحه في كينيا و تنزانيا لمشاهده الحيوانات و الاستمتاع برحلات السفاري اليوةيمه .. اما في رواندا مساحات و خضره لكنها على شكل جبال و تلال في غابات جميله .. وعلى كل الي فيها لازالت مشهوره بس في الغوريلا و على فكره ترا فيها اكثر من نوع للقرده مثل البلو منكي و الشمبانزي .. المهم هالديره الحلوه مثل ما ذكرت مكانها بشرق افريقيا و احيانا يقولون وسط افريقيا .. ما تطل على بحرلا لكن فيها بحيرات حلوه … لها حدودج مع اوغندا و الكونقو و بروندي و تنزانيا
Religion and language
Rwandans is drawn from just one cultural and linguistic group, the Banyarwanda, Christianity is the largest religion in the country; the principal language is Kinyarwanda, spoken by most Rwandans, with French and English serving as official languages.
الديانه
أغلبهم مسيحيين و لكن عندهم نسبه من المسلمين .. طبعا الي سامع عن رواندا من قبل يدري انه في سنه 1994 صارت عندهم اباده عرقيه و هالشي تسبب في العاديه السيئه عن هالديره لحد اليوم .. .. قصه الاباده تستحق الاطلاع و القراءه و سوا منها افلام معروفه و منها فيلم هوتيل رواندا الي فاز بعده جوائز … انصحكم تقرون عنها .. اما بالنسبه للغه فهي الكينيارواندا و اغلبهم يعرفون فرنسي و انجليزي …
Economy
The economy is based mostly on subsistence agriculture. Coffee and tea are the major cash crops for export. Tourism is a fast-growing sector and is now the country’s leading foreign exchange earner.
الاقتصاد
الاقتصاد بشكل اساسي يعتمد على الثروه الزراعيه بالدوله .. رواندا معروفه بتصدير كميات كبيره من القهوه و الشاي عالميا … و هم عندهم بعض المعادن بس مو مثل دول افريقيا الثانيه … و حاليا قاعدين يشتغلون على ترويج السياحه بشكل اكبر
Did you know that ….
- Rwanda is one of only two countries in which mountain gorillas can be visited safely, and visitors are prepared to pay high prices for gorilla tracking permits.
- Music and dance are an integral part of Rwandan culture, particularly drums and the highly choreographed intore dance. Traditional arts and crafts are produced throughout the country.
- In 2008, Rwanda completely banned plastic bags as part of its Vision 2020 plan for sustainability.

تعد رواندا من آمن الدول مقارنه بغيرها لزياره الغوريلا في غابات البراكين
الرقص و الموسيقى جزء اساسي من تراث و عادات شعب رواندا ,… خصوصا الطبوول 🙂 صج استانسنا برحلتنا الى رواندا .. و هم معروفه ببعض الصناعات اليديوه مثل السلال الملونه
في سنه 2008 اصدروت الحكومه قرار يمنع استخدام اكياس البلاستيك حفاظا على البيئه
TIME التوقيت
Rwanda is two hours ahead of GMT. (GMT: +2)
CLIMATE AND WEATHER
Temperatures average around 24°C (75°F), except for in the higher mountain areas where it ranges from 10°C to 15°C (50°F to 60°F). Rwanda can be visited and enjoyed any time of the year. Dry Season: mid-May to mid-October. This is the time that is easiest to track the gorillas, however, it is not as “green” as the wet season. July and August are peak season for visiting the gorillas, which means that travelling outside of these two months is easier to obtain a permit.
Wet Season: mid-October to mid-May .The Northeast has a lot more rain due to the volcanoes being covered in rainforest.
الطقس
درجه الحراره تتراوح بين 24 ما عدا المناطق الجبليه تكون ابرد من 10 الى 15 .. عموما رواندا من الدول الي ممكن تزورونها طوال السنه…. موسم الجاف يكون من نص مايو الى نص اكتوبر .. و يكون اسهل وقت لزياره الغوريلا بالجبال .. بس عموما ما تكون الجبال خضرا مثل حزه موسم المطر … اما بالنسبه لشهر يوليو و اغسطس فاهمه البيك سيزن الي اهو ازحم شي لزياره الغوريلا …. .. اما بالنسبه لموسم الأمطار فهو من نص اكتوبر ال نص مايو ..احنا رحنا شهر يناير و الحمدلله الجو كان حلو براد و ايام مشمسه و ايام ممطره … على الحظ
SECURITY
Basic precautions should be taken, as in all countries, and common sense used. Do not carry excessive jewelry and money or leave them lying around. From my experience, Rwanda is a safe country in Africa.
الأمن
الاحتياطات و الاجراءات المعروفه لاي سفره لازم تحطونها في بالكم لرواندا .. انا دايما اقول الحرص زين .. طبعا لا تلبسون مجوهرات او تكشخون .. شخصيا هالشي اطبقه على كل السفرات .. و من خلال رحلتي في رواندا اقدر اقول لكم اني اشوفها شخصيا آمن من عاصمه تنزانيا و كينيا
MONEY
The currency of Rwanda is the Rwandan Franc. One US Dollar is about 600 Rwandan Francs. US dollars are widely accepted in Rwanda. Visa Credit cards will only be accepted at the main hotels or lodges, restaurants.
العمله
العمله اهي فرانك رواندي .. الدولار الواحد يعادل 600 فرانك رواندي.. عموما الدولار يقبلونه في اغلب الاماكن اهناك و حق البقشيش بس لازم يكون عندكم عمله محليه .. تقدرون تصرفونها بالمطار او عند الصرافيين في عاصمه رواندا كيقالي
My Advice: carry dollars ( cash ) but keep some local currency in your pocket for the local places.
نصيحتي اخذوا معاكم دولار و كل ما احتجتوا صرفوا كميه منه لفرانك رواندي
VISAS
a visa will be required to present a copy of the accepted Entry Facility Form at the airport in order to obtain their Visas. ( our Forms were prepared by Uber Luxe Safaris)
الفيزا
رواندا تحتاج فيزا …و يمكن استخراجها بالمطار عند الوصول .. بس في شي لزم يكون عندكم من قبل الي اهوه وصل او ورقه قبول الفيزا من اداره الهجره في رواندا .. شخصيا شكره السفاري اهي الي سويت لنا هالشي و دزت لنا اوراق القبول بالايميل و ووديناها معانا المطار .. ترا راح يسألونكم عنها من مطار الأقلاع
TIPPING/GRATUITIES البقشيش او العطيه
There are no set percentages for tips. Local culture believes the level of tips should be at the discretion of the client and any token of appreciation is gladly received.
ماكو قدر معين للعطيه و كل شي ممكن يعطي المساعدين و المرشدين على قدر اجتهادهم بالعمل
MEDICAL/FITNESS/VACCINATION
You will need to discuss with your doctor the best ways for you to avoid getting sick with malaria. Ways to prevent malaria include the following: Anti-malaria tablets and mosquito repellent which are essential. Seek advice on vaccination inoculations that may be required. Yellow Fever inoculation is mandatory to visit Rwanda. The following vaccinations are: recommended:
- Hepatitis A
- Malaria
- Typhoid
- Hepatitis B
- Rabies ( I did not take that )
التطاعيم و الصحه و اللياقه الجسديه
اول شي لازم تزورون طبيب المستوصف او العياده قبل الرحله بشهر تقريبا و اخذ التطعيمات اللازمه و الي اهي
- Hepatitis A
- Malaria
- Typhoid
- Hepatitis B
- Rabies ( I did not take that) ما خذيته
اهم شي حبوب الملاريا .. سواء الاسبوعيه او اليويميه مهمه للوقايه من الملاريا
Note:
The primate tracking experiences also require a reasonable level of fitness. So this trip is most definitely best suited to a more outdoorsy and intrepid type of guest.

SAFETY OF FOOD AND DRINKING WATER
At all the lodges you visit food is prepared by well-trained chefs and is all hygienic. Bottled water will be given to you at all the hotels. Drink bottled or boiled water only. Do not drink tap water.
الاكل و المشروبات
كل الفنادق واللوجز فيها مطاعم حلوه خصوصا الي سكناها في رحلتنا وان شاء الله راح اكتب تقارير عنها. هم ترا بالعاصمه في خوش جمعيه تقدرون تشترون منها الي تبونه .. خوش جمعيه كل شي فيها و احنا كنا يايبين معانا الاكو و الماكو .. الي تابعونا في سناب يدرون شنو كانت ماجلتنا مالت هالرحله …اما بالنسبه للماي فأكيد لازم من بطول .. و بكل مكان متوفره بس تاكدوا انه البطل مسكر
PHOTOGRAPHY
How could I find the perfect word to describe how Rwanda s a heaven for photography !! specially on road trips you will pass by many villages ! but Photography is not allowed near military buildings or soldiers. Before photographing people it is polite to ask. and of course don’t forget to bring extra memory cards and batteries.

بصراحه ليتني اقدر الاقس الكلمه المناسبه الي اقدر اوصف فيها اشكثر هالديره تعتبر جنه للمصورين … خصوصا برحلات الدروب الطويله من مكان لي مكان … شي خياال من مناظر خلابه و ملامح الحياه القرويه اليوميه .. بس طبها ممنوع تصورون الشرطه او الجيش او مراكزهم و احيانا في ناس ما يرضون تصورونهم و الافضل تستأذنون
ELECTRICITY الكهربا
Rwanda: 230/240 volts at 50 Hz. 2-pin (round) sockets. It is best to travel with your own adaptor. I always travel with my world wide adapter.
شخصيا دايما يكون معاي الادابتر الي يمشي مع كل الدول .. وايد اسهل
BEGGING/DONATIONS
We recommend clients do not give money to beggars or children; it is better to give donations to established charities that help the homeless or street children or schools. Exercise books, pens and pencils are useful gifts but not money or sweets as they create a dependency culture. I am so happy that Uber Luxe made a specialarrangements to visit schools and orphanages 🙂 which can be on request! my advice do that and don’t miss the amazing experience to give 🙂
التسول و التبرعات
و احنا اهناك كنا نمر وايد على فقارى و قرى و كان ودنا نوزع عليهم خصووصا اليهال الي يلحقون السياره و اهي ماره .. بس المرشد كان يقول لنا لات عطونهم لانه راح تشجعونهم انه يتمون على الشوارع و ما يروحون المدرسه … فنصحنا انه نختار مكان او مركز او مدرسه و نوزع فيها العطايا او الحلاو و الككاو الي يايبينه لليهال .. و هذا الي سويناه .. و حببني اكثر في شركه السفاري لانهم طلعونا اخر يوم و خلونا احنا نختار المكان الي نبي نتبرع فيه
TELEPHONE/INTERNET
International telephone communication is very good in Kigali but more difficult from some up-country areas. we purchased Local SIM cards but in some areas specially the forest you will loose the coverage. (Country tel code +250)

Arrival Day: we arrived to Kigali, the captilal of Rwanda flying with Qatar Airways direct flight from Doha, Qatar. On that day we checked in at Kigali Serena Hotel ( overnight stay)
يوم الوصول: وصلنا للعاصمه كيغالي مع كيران القطريه بعد رحله دايركت من الدوحه .. و بعدها اتجهنا الى فندق سرينا كيغالي و الي يعدونه حاليا من اكشخ الفنادق عندهم .. الفندق مرتب و نظيف بسجنه من فنادق التسعينات .. المهم نمنا فيه ليله و من باجر بدينا المغامرات و الرحله في رواندا 
The next morning we got ready for the adventure tour in Rwanda ! 2 safari jeeps for 9 ladies 😉 yep that’s my group 😀
اليوم الي بعده انطلقنا بسيارتين سفاري لقروبي المكون من 9 بنات …ويومها عشنا اول مغامره لنا 🙂
